How we are Helping in the fight against Hunger
Our Community Support Programs
At Incredible Blessings 4 U, Inc., we believe in dignity, accessibility, and choice. Our community support programs are designed to meet people where they are and help ensure that no one has to face food insecurity or a lack of essential resources alone.
Through our Mobile Food Pantry, we bring nutritious food and essential grocery items directly into neighborhoods and community locations. Our grocery-style distribution model creates a welcoming shopping experience where individuals and families can choose the foods that best meet their household needs.
Our Second Hand Treasure Closet extends that support by providing quality new and gently used clothing and shoes for children and adults, when space allows. Available at select distributions, community members can choose items that meet their individual and family needs.
Together, these programs allow us to provide more than food. They help us respond to the everyday needs of our neighbors by providing nutritious food, clothing, and essential resources—with dignity, compassion, and choice.
Ascension Episcopal Church
Our Satellite Pop-Up Pantry at Ascension Episcopal Church brings nutritious food and essential grocery items directly into the community. Through our grocery-style, client-choice model, individuals and families can select the foods that best meet their household needs.
We are grateful to Pastor Steve Hassett and the dedicated volunteers of Ascension Episcopal Church, who generously give their time, energy, and financial support to help make each distribution possible.Their commitment and hands-on service help make every pantry distribution welcoming, organized, and successful.
The Ascension Pop-Up Pantry is held on the first Wednesday of each month and currently serves more than 100 participants each month. Since we began serving at this location in February, participation has continued to grow with each distribution.
By working together with Ascension Episcopal Church and its volunteers, we are able to reduce barriers such as transportation and limited access to nutritious food while creating a welcoming place where community members can receive food and essential resources with dignity and choice.
Our Community Outreach
Patterson Elementary School
Our food distribution at Patterson Elementary School began in the teachers’ lunchroom, providing a convenient place for families in the school community to access nutritious food and essential resources.
We are grateful to Principal Miranda Crane Martinez and her staff for their support and partnership in helping make this distribution possible.
As participation grew, we quickly outgrew the available indoor space and moved the distribution outdoors. Since moving outdoors, the Patterson distribution has continued to grow, and our distribution numbers have risen to more than 100 people served.
The outdoor distribution allows us to serve more families while creating a welcoming and organized environment for community members to receive food and other available resources. This experience reflects our commitment to adapting our programs as community needs grow.
Patterson Elementary School is a closed distribution, so the location is not publicly listed for the safety of students and staff.
Second Hand Clothing Treasure Closet
Our Second Hand Treasure Closet provides quality new and gently used clothing and shoes for children and adults, when space allows.
The Treasure Closet is available at select distributions, including Marina Towers/Marina Annex and Fairgrounds Mobile Estates, giving community members an opportunity to find clothing and shoes that meet their individual and family needs.
We also enjoy finding creative ways to make these distributions special. At Solano Vista Senior Apartments, we hosted a clothing distribution that included a fashion show featuring some of the residents. It was a fun opportunity for the ladies to show off their style, enjoy one another’s company, and celebrate the community.
These moments are an important part of what we do—providing needed items while also creating opportunities for connection, joy, and community.
Meet Me In The Street - American Canyon
Meet Me In The Street (MMITS)
Meet Me In The Street (MMITS) is a community festival created by the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce to “bridge business with community.” Launched in 2021, the event brings businesses, organizations, and community members together in a shared neighborhood setting.
Incredible Blessings 4 U, Inc. participates in MMITS as the only free food distribution at the festival. While other food vendors provide food through food trucks, our organization provides food at no cost to community members.
Since launching our participation in June, MMITS has experienced significant growth. We served more than 260 people in June, more than 430 people in July, and more than 600 people in August. The increasing participation demonstrates the strong community response to having free food available at the event.
One of the things we noticed after our first MMITS event in June was that the majority of the people we served came prepared with their own bags to carry the food they received. This simple observation helped us better understand how our neighbors access and transport the food they need. It also reminded us of the importance of paying attention to the small details that can help us better serve the community.
Through MMITS, we provide food while creating opportunities to connect with community members, listen to their needs, and respond with compassion.
Meet Me In The Street reflects our commitment to going where the need is and serving our neighbors there—with dignity, compassion, and a helping hand.
Faith Fellowship Baptist Church
Our partnership with Faith Fellowship Baptist Church began when Patterson Elementary School closed during the summer for renovations. Because the school distribution was temporarily unavailable, we were invited to bring a food distribution to Faith Fellowship so families in the surrounding South Vallejo community would continue to have access to food.
What began as a temporary solution has grown into an ongoing partnership. Faith Fellowship has since requested quarterly food distributions, as well as a special Thanksgiving distribution, allowing us to continue serving residents in the surrounding community throughout the year.
We are grateful to Faith Fellowship Baptist Church and its members for opening their doors and recognizing the importance of maintaining food access for local families.
This partnership is a wonderful example of how community organizations can respond to changing circumstances and work together to make sure our neighbors continue to have access to the food they need.
Our Senior Communities
Bay View Vista
Solano Vista Senior Apartments
Incredible Blessings 4 U, Inc. brings food and essential resources directly to the senior communities we serve, making access more convenient for residents in their own neighborhoods.
At Bay View Vista and Solano Vista Senior Apartments, available food and resources are placed on each community’s Share Table, giving residents the freedom to stop by at their convenience and select what is useful to them.
These are closed distributions and are not open to the general public. Together, these two communities represent nearly 200 residents who have access to this client-choice approach within their own residential communities.
By bringing resources directly to senior housing, we help create an easier and more independent way for residents to access food while respecting their schedules, preferences, and individual needs.
Marina Towers/Marina Annex
Our distribution at Marina Towers / Marina Annex has become an important part of our ongoing service to seniors and community members in Vallejo.
Each Tuesday morning, our team brings food and other available resources to the community. This is an open distribution, and everyone is welcome, including residents of Marina Towers / Marina Annex and community members from throughout the surrounding area.
Our Second Hand Treasure Closet is also available at this location when space allows, providing new and gently used clothing and shoes for children and adults.
We also provide door-to-door deliveries to homebound seniors and individuals who have difficulty traveling to a distribution site.
